How Not To Start A Webcomic #35

Contributed by Tyler Pease of Screw These Comics

Phalanx says:

This comic is a very good example of How Not To Run A Comic, but not in the way you might think.

Sure, bad sprites, brash colours, 1337... the typical hallmarks, but there IS one thing that's different... Can you spot it? Got it? Yes?

If you look back in the HNTRAC archives, you'll find we've already covered these topics already. This is yet another rehash of the same things, and adds nothing new to the discussion.

Lesson: A lot of comics fail to recognise that importance of ORIGINALITY and new content. When people look for comics, they look for something fresh and new. Most of all, they look for something different! This is why Megatokyo and Mac Hall clones catch more flak that any badly made stick-figures ever do.

Moral: Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but don't do it unless you want to be flattened. mcDuffies says:

And way to go, Phalanx, for for good thinking. I didn't think of that.
