How Not To Start A Webcomic #11

Contributed by Warren of Spare change

Phalanx says:

What's wrong with it:

  1. Cut and Paste
  2. Eye-blinding colour
  3. Artifacts at the edge of colouring
  4. The 'art'
  5. Font is Tahoma, which isn't suitable for the 'art' style or any art style for that matter
  6. The presence of a Paypal Donate button

Saving graces: If it had any, the Paypal button blew it away.

Terotrous says:

Honesty is never the best policy. Unless it's monetary policy.

mcDuffies says:

Yes, saying to readers that they should donate money to you on every occasion, never really gained any reader. Especially with this kind of art: flashy colours, white dots around lines, font... Paradox of this comic is, it probably takes more time and effort to copy and past this image than to draw it again.
If I should for a moment discuss this comic more thoroughly, there is a problem of wasted space on first panel again: what's the blue space at left for? As for drawing characters, I'll just ask you to imagine how would these girls look like if they were bold? (shape of a head can often be a problem of web artists. This manifests in a way that it looks like the whole back of the character's head is missing)
At last, it's not very suitable to draw characters without background, without even a shadow or horizon line that should point that they're standing on earth, not floating in open space.
